Imaginary Picnic
I always wanted to make a little film. Just a tiny one. With a few lovely images.
Anyway. I bought a digital camera, because my old one wasn't working anymore.
And you can make little films with acceptable quality with it.
So who knows? Maybe I'll make one soon. Once I get my camera.
But for now: This amazing little video by Nirrimi. Her first one.
You should check out her photography too. She's really one of my favourite photographers. Pretty as a Picture on DeviantArt

DIY 2010
2010 is going to be a year full of stress and changes. I'll have my exams and hopefully graduate. I'm going to move out of my parents house and start studying biology. I'm very excited, but also a little scared. Beside all of that I want to be creative and do fun things. So that's why I made this list. I got this idea from A Beautiful Mess. She made a DIY to do list. And so did I. A few DIY projects that I will do in 2010. I won't have time for it, but I'll make time for it, because it's amazing to do. And you'll hear all about it.
Try out a huge part of my dad's old camera collection. Including polaroidcamera's. Can't wait.
Get creative with these bags. Add prints/fabrics/buttons/texts. (Not all at once of course.)
Make a huge painting. Something that isn't finished in a few seconds. Maybe a wallpainting. Or on a big canvas. I've always wanted to do that.Photograph and photograph and photograph. And do a lot of shoots together with Fleur. This photo is the result of one of our previous ones. Try new things, be creative and learn.
Make a video. It could be drawn, a music video, a stop motion. Who knows? I always wanted to do that. Look at these amazing little videos. Love them.
Wish me luck!

The Story of Winter
The Story of Winter
"I have to give you something," he said lightly, looking up at the expanse of sky stretched as far as the eye could see. "That's the way these things go. A deal is a deal."
"Right," I replied distractedly, wondering what he was gazing at.
"How about winter? I'll give you winter."
The night was cloudless. Inviting. I think I would live in the stars, if I could.
I glanced at him, studying his profile. I wasn't sure if he was mocking me or if he actually meant anything he said. I would never find out. I would die not knowing.
"Winter?" I asked, hoping that for just a moment he would look at me. "You can't just...give me a season. That's not possible."
He laughed. I loved it when he laughed. His cheeks dimpled; it took away his intensity and for one joyous moment, he appeared less burdened. Then his smile faded and he said softly, "Sure I can. I can give you anything you desire. Any season you wish. But I think winter fits best."
"Because I'm a frigid bitch?" I was joking. I wanted to see him laugh one more time before everything ended.
Finally, he looked down at me. Bottomless, steel grey eyes met mine and I lost everything I was thinking. Jaded thoughts and doubts and worries fled. I felt weightless, liberated. When he touched my cheek, his hand was warm. When he kissed me, it was achingly soft. He whispered against my lips, "There's beauty in it. Crystalline snow, silver skies…despite it, everything seems more overwhelming. The cold, the death, the lack of light. But you know what?"
"What?" I breathed.
"They always appreciate you more when you're gone."
